Hi, it’s Mari!

I am a UX designer who is designing customer services in the field of investment, medical, travel, beauty, music, and art industries for over 10 years.
Let’s create a wonderful (and frictionless) customer journey together :)

Since I was young, I always found a way to learn from the best.  In college, in Toyko, I was mentored by the President of the Bank of Japan. With his guidance, I created a youth group with the ambitious goal of rethinking and rejuvenating Japan’s future and also bringing kindness and compassion to the political field.  

When I moved to New York City in 2011, I would later take the skills I learned from my mentors into project managing, working directly with the CEO of a Japanese cosmetic company, helping launch their flagship store in Soho, a $100MM project.  I’d also help facilitate connecting Japanese investors with prime real estate in Manhattan, resulting in $100MM+ deals for my employers.  

During the pandemic I co-designed the transition of a music festival to an online experience, producing and coordinating artists in 15 cities and 7 countries and designing the user flows and UI as well as backend service design.  Inspired by the success of that experience, I choose to dedicate myself to UX design.   My earlier background has served me well.  I’ve learned that a  great User Experience is similar to working with a well managed project, everything is where you expect it to be, friction points have been eliminated and at the end of the journey, everyone leaves with a smile on their face.
